Last Saturday I attended a Celebration of Life for a friend.
I met Gail through our volunteer work together at the Terry Fox Foundation and
over the years we had become friends. Gail enjoyed baking and last year she and
I baked cookies together at my house. So it was with great pleasure that I was
able to bake and decorate cookies for the reception that followed the service. I'm not sure why I chose to make butterflies and I certainly had no
way of knowing that Gail's husband would
reference the butterflies in his stomach nor how the Minister would talk about
getting them to fly in formation. It's as if someone was guiding us that
day. Beautiful cookies for a beautiful friend.
