Mason's 1st Birthday!

What a wonderful family day we had today. Parents, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles were all on hand to celebrate Mason's very first birthday. It seem like only yesterday this same group was anxiously awaiting his arrival. I can't believe that a whole year has passed already and of course I could let such a momentous occasion pass without making some very special cookies for a very special little boy.   Nana loves you Mason.

Fox Harb'r Treats

My daughter in Nova Scotia is working at the Fox Harb'r Golf and Spa Resort. It's a seasonal job as the resort is only open from May to September, but she is really enjoying the experience. Some of the staff sampled some cookies I had sent to Diana previously, and they requested a care package of their own. Here is what we came up with ....

Sesame Street

Yes there were 10 adults and 4 little ones that went off to see Sesame Street.  I am not sure who had the most enjoyment out of it, the adults or the children.  Oh well it was a great day spent with family.  After the show everyone enjoyed a BBQ and to add a little sweet treat we made Elmo and Cookie |Monster cookies for all to enjoy.

Baby Shower

My daughter and I have had so much fun baking cookies, for all the special request we have had. My friend had a baby shower for her daughter-in-law who is expecting a bouncing baby girl.  I made these cute bib cookies for her to give to all her guests...everyone just love them.

Family Reunion

The 7 van Berkel siblings
The whole family (46 of us)

Well what a weekend our family had!  Each of the 7 families at the reunion were responsible for organizing an activity that we all could enjoy. Of course I had every one decorating cookies, even all of the guys who thought it would be "lame" ended up having fun. What a great job they all did on their cookies.

On Saturday we had a tea party/baby shower for one of my nieces and I couldn't resist making special cookie favors for all the ladies.

With a group that size there were lots of chores that had to be done and on Canada Day my clan had dinner table table setting duty. These Canada flags were the perfect sweet treats at each place setting.
